We Read Together

Literacy In Action

We Read Together is an incentive based community reading program that aims to make reading a strength for elementary school aged students.
The program seeks to engage the parents and encourage them to create learning environments in the home.
By creating set aside times for family reading and sharing without distractions, students connect with their parents around reading and learning.

The results after the first year:

  • * 25-2nd graders at Adamsville Primary lives changed.
  • * 80% of participants, increased their reading at home by 2.5 hours/week.
  • * 3 volunteers dedicated over 216 volunteer hours valuing $3.888.
  • * 100% of kids saw an increase in their reading level.
  • * 25 Students improved their learning environments at home
  • * Over $1,500 of in-kind donations and contributions leveraged 20 students earned tickets to Six Flags with 3 of their family members.

Our goal is to continue to expand our capacity to provide transitional housing. By acquiring and rehabbing housing, we are building sustainable communities as a means of addressing human needs that lead to the destabilization of families and communities. The Launch Pad Foundation is a 501c3 organization.
