With Keep Our Community we strive to Keep Our Community Clean, Safe, and Thriving. Clean - by encouraging everyone to do their part by placing trash in the appropriate receptacles. We host a monthly community clean up. The monthly clean-up focuses on the neighborhoods surrounding Martin Luther King Jr Drive.
Safe - by partnering with local law enforcement officers, our neighbors and city officials to share safety best practices.
Thriving - A thriving community consists of people, businesses and schools that are healthy. This is accomplished through volunteering at local schools, supporting local businesses, and creating sustainable life styles. By Keeping Our Community Clean, Safe and Thriving we reduce crime, improve property values and the quality of life.
The Second Saturday of every month with the exception of The Day of Service in January and the Saturday closest to Earth Day in April.
Since September 2016, we have removed over 3 tons of debris with the help of over 300 volunteers contributing to over 750 hours of community service.
Our goal is to continue to expand our capacity to provide transitional housing. By acquiring and rehabbing housing, we are building sustainable communities as a means of addressing human needs that lead to the destabilization of families and communities. The Launch Pad Foundation is a 501c3 organization.
